Brisbane is home to some of the most magnificent architecture that Australia and Queensland have to offer. Amongst these glorious skyscrapers rises one that is green and lush which has been named Australia best residential high-rise.
The Standard was created by the Aria Property Group and was this year’s lucky winner, taking out the top award from the Urban Development Institute of Australia at the ceremony in Sydney this week.
This award is a welcome sight after the announcement that all plans for another green tower ‘Urban Forest’ were scrapped and deemed unfeasible.
The aim of this tower was to be one of the worlds greenest and sustainable buildings ever built, which is no small feat and as the creators have commented, has its challenges. Not only would this bring absolute luxury to its inhabitants, but it was pushing towards the delivery of a green, clean, and sustainable Olympic games in 2032.
Over the years Brisbane has risen through the ranks of Australia’s Major cities to become the benchmark of sustainability and clean, greenness. Cities such as Melbourne and Sydney, whilst also aiming for this goal are yet to reach Brisbane’s heights whose use of design and development to create innovative new structures, public realms and sustainable living are sky high and continuous.
Buyers looking out for apartments and houses are suggested to consider going green when searching for their next home, think clean and green. Even the older residents of Brisbane can be converted to a more sustainable way of living through solar panels, green gardens and water saving. Looking online for property reviews as well as speaking to your local real estate agent can help to find you the perfect place.
As for the Aria Property Group, who’s fourth national award in the six years speaks for itself, are ever ready with more ideas, new designs and cleaner greener ways of living.
